Update during Pandemic – week 8

Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I think of each of you every day so here is a chatty letter telling of some things I’m learning (and relearning, and relearning…) from this experience:

I am constantly being reminded that to overcome the mundane requires imagination and persistence, and that doing things just to keep busy gets old really fast. It is only by being active, doing something for others, or by exploring new frontiers that contentment is found.

So my pursuit of contentment includes rock painting with hope that finding a little surprise might bring a smile to someone’s day.

To practice patience and provide yumminess, I am still exploring the art of bread-making which satisfies my need for comfort food and wow does the house smell incredible!

Gary and I are biking and walking every chance we get. I still love my electric bike. Last weekend we rode into Stillwater and had a picnic along the St. Croix. It was a gorgeous day, however, the strong headwind on the way back (uphill) made this 20 mile ride a bit of a challenge.

I continue to feed my soul by creating posters for a volunteer organization and playing with my camera.

So, this is my life as I shelter at home (where else would I shelter?)

Love to you all
Sue
